Cognac's name is known in the whole world thanks to the famous elixir, a speciality of the region, but it is also the native town of the king François 1st. The city notably proposes two museums dedicated to this “liquor of the gods ”. The Art and History Museum gathers collections linked to cognac trade or industry. On the river Charente, you could bask in the sun on a cruise onboard the gabarre of Cognac “La Dame Jeanne”.
